RUGBY STAR ENJOYS DAY OUT AT THEME PARKWelsh rugby star Ryan Jones enjoyed a day out with his family at Oakwood Theme Park on Friday.
The former Wales and Ospreys captain, who now plays his rugby at Bristol, was a surprise extra attraction to visitors to the Pembrokeshire park.
“I hadn’t been to Oakwood in a long time and it was great to see the investment in the park; particularly in Neverland. The whole family had a wonderful time and we can’t wait to come back,” said Ryan.
Ryan’s visit was organised by Princes Gate Spring Water, who are the official Welsh water sponsor to the Welsh Rugby Union.

The Narberth-based family run business is also joining forces with near neighbours Oakwood to jointly promote their ‘Jump In – Make a Splash’ campaign.
Oakwood Theme Park’s Head of Marketing, Clare Stansfield, said: “Ryan and his family seemed to thoroughly enjoy their visit and tried out pretty much all the rides.
“He was absolutely charming and we’re hoping he can persuade some of his new Bristol and Welsh team mates to come down for a return visit later in the year,” she added.
Originally from Newport, Ryan only seriously took up rugby at the age of 17. Before that he played junior football as a goalkeeper for Bristol City.
The 6ft 5in forward spent 10 years at Ospreys, making a total of 147 appearances, before deciding to move to Bristol earlier this year.
Capped 75 times by his country, with a record 33 as captain, he has won three Grand Slams and featured for the British and Irish Lions.
