OAKWOOD STAFF CELEBRATE HISTORIC EURO 2016 WIN
Football-mad staff at Oakwood Theme Park have been celebrating the historic win against Slovakia by sharpening their soccer skills on a new goal-scoring game.
After Wales’ fantastic victory in their opening match of Euro 2016, staff at the Pembrokeshire park staged their own penalty shootout competition on their Kick-Point Challenge.
The interactive game awards points for accuracy with prizes on offer for the best marksmen.
Oakwood Theme Park’s Natalie Hunt said: “Although their dead ball skills were not quite up to those of Gareth Bale’s I definitely think they benefited from watching the great man in action.
“It was particularly pleasing to see Gareth score a goal as he is a past visitor to Oakwood and enjoyed flying high on our Vertigo ride when he last visited.
“However I think it is probably safe to say he has gone on to fly pretty high on his own since then!
“Now everyone on site is gearing themselves up for the crucial clash against England.
“Football fever is definitely on the rise and we are already looking forward to giving England a footballing masterclass on Thursday in Lens,” she added.
