Update 1 – In the summer of 2022 we appointed American rollercoaster design and construction company ‘The Gravity Group’ to undertake a $2M programme of retrack works on our famous wooden coaster, Megafobia.

Oakwood Theme Park team members attended the exclusive annual ScareCON Aftershock event at Thorpe Park last week. The event hosted by ScareCON is sponsored by Mad About Scares and gives attraction owners the opportunity to celebrate all things spooky and experience another scare attraction different from their own.
Ryan, 61 from Milford Haven, has taken his 6,000th ride on Megafobia & has been riding the rollercoaster since it opened in 1996, having previously completed 21 rides of the iconic attraction in just one day.
