Some-Fin Fishy
At Theme Park
Visitors to Oakwood Theme Park will be able to come face to face with a giant clownfish and a cuddly shark as part of their Pembrokeshire Fish Week celebrations.
The fishy costume characters will be joining the park’s resident Scorch the dragon for a series of meet and greet sessions throughout the week starting on Saturday, June 28th.
There will also be a hidden ‘Fishy Trail’ around the park and visitors will even have the chance to feed Oakwood’s very own freshwater fish in their boating lake.
In addition to the on-site activities, the theme park is also co-sponsoring the event and will have a presence throughout the week with staff handing out money off vouchers and other goodies.
Oakwood Theme Park’s Head of Marketing Clare Stansfield said: “Fish Week is one of the largest events taking place in the area and we were only too pleased to get involved with helping to support it.
“As well as our giant fishy characters Oakwood is also home to more than 1,000 freshwater fish in our boating lake beside the Megafobia rollercoaster.
“We also have a fishy-themed trail around the park for younger visitors to enjoy,” she added.
In the past two years Oakwood Theme Park has invested in excess of £5m in a series of new attractions and additions to the park. Last year they opened the new £4m family-themed Neverland attraction.
Among the new attractions which have opened this year are the indoor soft-play adventure zone ‘Hook’s House of Havoc’, ‘Circusland’, a new themed restaurant, bar and grill and an extended family entertainment zone.
