Welsh Government Covid-19 Update – July 2021
As of Saturday 17th July, a number of Covid-19 restrictions are being lifted by Welsh Government. We, like many, welcome the continued lifting of restrictions, and look forward to life hopefully returning to normality in the not to distant future.
Having considered the most recent update, Oakwood Theme Park will be taking a cautious and measured approach to the easing of our current onsite Covid-19 measures. Many of our team, and many of our guests have not yet been able to obtain both their protective vaccines, and as such we will continue to observe some of the current restrictions and guidelines to protect our team members and visitors whilst the vaccination programme continues.
In the interest of protecting our team, and for the comfort of your fellow visitors, some of whom may be very apprehensive about the lifting of outdoor social distancing measures, we will continue to request a 2 metre social distance between family groups in the queue lines of our attractions and in-park facilities. Painted floor markers and signage will remain in place and we respectfully ask you to consider each other’s personal space.
Tickets will continue to be date specific, and we will continue to limit the number of tickets available each day. The requirement to purchase your ticket online from our website will remain. Book your tickets here.
Our Catering outlets will continue to operate on a takeaway basis only, with plenty of outdoor seating available.
The requirement to wear masks in indoor areas remains a legal requirement in Wales, including our Retail Outlets, The Haunt Pizzeria, Park Reception, Toilet facilities, Fun Central arcade and some of our rides unless you are under the age of 11 or are exempt. All guests retain the right to wear their own PPE in all areas of Oakwood Theme Park, including on our rides and attractions, and we ask you to respect each others choices in this matter.
Our hand sanitising stations will remain in place across the park, and should be used regularly throughout your visit. We kindly ask that you continue to follow the wider Welsh Government advice, and do not visit if you, or any members of your family group is displaying any Covid-19 symptoms.
We will continue to post updates on our website and Social Media, including the updating of our Covid-19 FAQs and Visitor Charter. We look forward to welcoming you to Oakwood Theme Park this summer, for six weeks of ‘Summer Mania’
